Pillar II: The Sacraments
The Liturgy — God's Work in Time
In the liturgy, Christ continues the work of redemption in, with, and through His Church. The liturgy is the work of the whole Christ — Head and members — celebrated in the power of the Holy Spirit, glorifying the Father. The Paschal Mystery of Christ is made present and effective in the Church's sacred celebrations. The liturgical year — Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Ordinary Time — unfolds the saving mysteries of Christ across the year.
But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshipers.
