Baptism and the Lord's Supper

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord's Supper, in which the church commemorates the death of the Redeemer.

We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

Note

Two ordinances, both symbolic. Baptism is immersion of believers only. The Lord's Supper is a memorial, not a sacrifice or transformation.
