Christian Life
Stewardship
God is the source of all blessings. Christians have a spiritual debtorship to the whole world, a holy trusteeship in the gospel, and a binding stewardship in their possessions. They should contribute of their means cheerfully, regularly, systematically, proportionately, and liberally for the advancement of the Redeemer's cause on earth.
Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful.
— 1 Corinthians 4:2 (WEB)
Note
Stewardship is broader than money — but includes it. Baptist churches are supported entirely by tithes and offerings of their members.
