Christ's Ministry in the Heavenly Sanctuary

There is a sanctuary in heaven, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord. In it Christ ministers on our behalf. In 1844, at the end of the prophetic period of 2,300 days (Daniel 8:14), He entered the second and last phase of His atoning ministry — the investigative judgment — which reveals who among the dead are asleep in Christ and worthy of the first resurrection, and which of the living are abiding in Him.

Hebrews 8:1-2

Now in the things which we are saying, the main point is this. We have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a servant of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.
